WE ARE FOOD is a surreal, psycho-aesthetic exploration of femininity, identity, and consumption. Through striking visual contrasts, the editorial examines the fragility of the human form alongside the transformative nature of food, capturing the tension between control and being consumed.
Structured as a series of vignettes, each scene features a woman adorned in garments crafted from unconventional food materials—shrimp chips and wet rice paper. The sterile yet unsettling atmosphere intensifies the sense of controlled chaos, leading to a climactic moment of transformation.
At its core, WE ARE FOOD critiques societal perceptions of women as objects of consumption—both literally and metaphorically. By integrating food into wearable art, the editorial reclaims the narrative, positioning the models not as passive subjects but as architects of their own identity and metamorphosis.
